Our Specialty at Pro-Health is individualized hands-on care. We continue to believe that hands-on treatment is the optimal treatment approach. While TeleHealth can be a valuable alternative when direct patient care is not safe or not possible, some more urgent conditions or more involved patients need in-clinic therapy to improve. With safety as our priority, we have implemented the following measures:
Safety with In-Clinic Hands-on Treatments:
- Reorganized clinic space to optimize patient distancing
- A limited number of patients and minimal staff present to limit exposure
- Extensive sanitization measures going beyond CDC recommendations
- All patients and staff to wear masks at all times and wash hands frequently
- We screen everyone for signs of COVID-19 and ask that everyone exhibiting any symptoms: cough, fever, or shortness of breath; or who has been exposed to someone with COVID-19 refrain from coming into the clinic.
It is important for every patient to weigh the risk of exposure to Coronavirus by coming to the clinic against the benefits of receiving hands-on treatment. Because during our treatments we are in close proximity to our patients, we cannot completely void all risks. Know that we are taking every precaution to minimize those risks and be reassured that as healthcare providers, we are trained to implement sanitary precautions.
We can also combine some TeleHealth and In-Clinic sessions to address all your needs while still limiting how often you have to come in the clinic.
You should attend In-Clinic sessions only if you are comfortable coming and because you feel that your condition is not improving enough without hands-on care. If you are elderly or have underlying medical conditions such as diabetes as well as cardiac or respiratory conditions, it is likely safer that you don’t attend our clinic for the time being.

Here are the additional details on measures taken at Pro-Health to ensure your safety:
-We ask that all patients and staff wear masks or face covering.
-We screen all patients and staff for fever using a no-touch infrared thermometer.
-We ask patients to wash their hands as they arrive, and again before leaving. Staff will also wash hands between every patient.
-We disinfect all the surfaces touched by a patient and the staff/therapist between each appointment.
-We eliminated all shared equipment that cannot be appropriately sanitized (e.g. no use of pillows, fabric-covered chairs or wedges, no sign-in sheet, no magazines, no longer accepting payment other than by phone, no use of cell phones, patients are asked to leave all unnecessary belongings in their car, etc.).
-We have removed all treatment or exercise equipment that cannot be sanitized such as elastic bands or paraffin.
-Exercises that can safely and effectively be done at home will not be part of the PT session. This way, patients will only stay in the clinic to receive essential hands-on care, therapeutic modalities or exercises that require the guidance of a therapist.
-We have decreased our patient volume to treat no more than 2 patients per hour allowing for ample patient distancing. We ask all our patients to come alone and to wait in their car in our free parking lot before their session time.
-We have minimal staff present in the clinic – some of our staff will continue to assist our patient’s scheduling and billing needs working from home.
-We screen all patients for signs of COVID-19 or exposure to anyone with confirmed COVID-19. Any staff or patients reporting or exhibiting signs of COVID-19 are asked to not come to the clinic. Anybody found to have cough, fever, or shortness of breath will be asked to leave the clinic for the safety and comfort of others.
